  1. Honorable Discharge Requirement: Ensure you will receive an honorable discharge upon separation from active duty.

  2. Application for Services: Apply for Veteran Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) services to access the support you need for career transition and skill development.

  3. Disability Rating: Obtain a memorandum rating or a proposed Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) rating of 20% or higher from the VA.

  4. Employment Handicap Criteria: Demonstrate an established employment handicap due to a service-connected disability, or qualify under the National Defense Authorization Act for additional support.

Veteran’s Guide to Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services: Essential Steps and Tips

Discharge Status: Ensure you have an honorable discharge or a discharge other than dishonorable to qualify for services at Paintless Dent School.

Disability Rating: Obtain a VA service-connected disability rating or a memorandum rating of at least 10 percent. Veterans with a 10 percent rating must also prove a serious employment handicap to be eligible for our program.
